The First Sip of Summer: Easy Mocktails to Make at Home

This feels like the first hint of summer showing up early. Not officially here yet, but close enough that you start wanting colder drinks, brighter flavors, and something fun in your glass just because the day feels like it calls for it.

These summer mocktails are simple, refreshing, and made for slow afternoons, warm evenings, or those moments when you want something that feels a little more special without any effort at all. And if you are in the mood for it, each one can easily turn into a cocktail with a simple splash of your favorite spirit.

Blueberry Mocktail: 

  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Ice
  • Blueberry sparkling water

Muddle blueberries with honey and lemon juice until slightly broken down. Pour over ice, top with sparkling water, and stir gently.

To make it a cocktail: add a splash of vodka or gin

Citrus Mocktail:

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Citrus sparkling water

Mix juices together, pour over ice, and finish with sparkling water.

To make it a cocktail: add white rum or vodka

Watermelon Mint Mocktail:

  • 4 cups watermelon
  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Ice
  • Watermelon sparkling water

Blend watermelon, mint, lemon juice, and honey until smooth. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water.

To make it a cocktail: add tequila or vodka

Strawberry Lime Mocktail:

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • Ice
  • Strawberry sparkling water

Blend strawberries, lime juice, and honey until smooth. Pour over ice and top with sparkling water.

To make it a cocktail: add vodka or tequila

Pineapple Mint Mocktail:

  • Handful of fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Ice
  • Pineapple sparkling water

Lightly muddle the mint leaves to release their aroma. Stir pineapple juice and lime together, pour over ice, top with sparkling water, and mix gently.

To make it a cocktail: add a splash of white rum or vodka
