October has officially arrived and doesn’t it feel like the whole season is about to fast forward straight into the holidays? One minute it’s pumpkin patches and cinnamon rolls and the next it’s Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and suddenly we’re clinking glasses at New Year’s.
Friday night has rolled in with cooler air and I’m here for it. The crisp breeze, the sweaters, the glow of twinkly lights it all feels a little more romantic this time of year doesn’t it? I’m already picturing our apartment dressed in fall decor, handing out candy with the dogs in their costumes, and baking cinnamon rolls that make the whole place smell like sugar and spice.
On the home front life feels extra exciting. My husband and I are dipping our toes into our first adult purchase, a house. We’re just browsing for now but I may have already fallen for one it’s still under construction but I can’t wait until we finally get to tour it. I’m already dreaming of cozy corners, holiday dinners, and the pups racing around their very own backyard. Speaking of pups our little family has grown. We went to an adoption event “just to look” and well you can probably guess how that ended. He’s two but acts like a baby and every day with him is pure laughter, cuddles, and chaos (the cute kind). And yes they already have matching pumpkin pajamas because priorities.
On the girly side I finally booked a haircut. I actually met my stylist at a coffee shop and I loved their energy right away. A fresh cut, a little balayage soon, and the irresistible pull of Gilmore Girls feels like the perfect recipe for October.
This weekend is shaping up to be a cozy fun mix a Starbucks run with the gift card my husband slipped into my purse (the man just gets me), maybe trying a new restaurant, groceries for the week, and then a date night in. Steak and lobster are on the menu, twinkly lights overhead, and my mouth is already watering.
And somewhere in between all the chaos and coziness I’ve been loving my Tuesday blogs. They’re light, girly, and sweet. Tiny little rituals that soften the week like pausing for a latte break with my own thoughts.
So here we are:
One new pup who thinks he’s still a baby.
One playful, chaotic, completely lovable family of four.
One dreamy house we’re counting down to tour.
One fresh haircut waiting to happen.
And me snuggled in pajamas, cinnamon roll in hand, falling in love with this golden cozy season all over again.
